Online Marriage in Dubai

Online marriage in Dubai, which is also called “virtual marriage,” is a fairly new idea that came about because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Virtual marriages are allowed in Dubai as a temporary solution for couples who want to get married but can’t because of rules about public gatherings and social distance.

To get married online in Dubai, both parties must meet the requirements set by the Dubai courts, which include being over 18 years old and having valid residency visas in Dubai. The process typically involves submitting the necessary documents, such as passports and ID cards, online, attending a virtual ceremony with a judge, and having two witnesses present during the ceremony.

It is important to note that online marriages in Dubai are currently considered temporary and will only be valid for a certain period of time. Couples must register their marriage in person at the Dubai courts within a specific timeframe to make it official and permanent.

Additionally, it is recommended to seek the advice of a legal professional marriage to ensure that all requirements are met and that the marriage is legally recognized in both Dubai and the couple’s home country.
